Anatolian Voided Velvet
Remarkably, the liklihood is that this 19th century pair of voided velvet cushion covers have never been separated and have been used as a single work of art. Clearly cherished through the generations and used very sparingly, they have survived in really excellent condition. The colour combination of gold and blue is delightful while the design of rows of flowering urns framed by acanthus leaves would work well as a frieze or as wall art. A charming and very unusual item that would make an amazing addition to many decorative schemes.
