Fine Hamadan Runner
This Hamadan runner from West Persia dates to the end of the 19th century and is a real beauty. It has a fine quality weave and very good natural dyes. The soft terracotta field is filled with a design of three medallions with myriad floral ornaments around them. It is a very charming yet elegant composition. The design is framed by matching corner spandrels and narrow borders. Note the very lovely abrashed green. it is a good size too.
