Kolyai Rug
Woven by the Kurdish weavers of West Persia around the city of Hamadan, this intriguing village rug has a very unusual ornament repeated through the field. One could possibly interpret it as an eagle, an image often seen in Kurdish art. The wool quality and dyes are superb and it has survived in very good condition. Professionally cleaned.
